Opera will block those annoying cookie dialog boxes on its Android app
After briefly testing the feature in beta, Opera is officially rolling out the option for its Android app users to automatically block cookie dialog boxes that pop up on websites. (That type of pop-up is especially prevalent since GDPR went into effect back in May.) The company says it’s tested the blocker across 15,000 websites and hopes to support more going forward.
Along with that major update, Opera is also shipping other features like the introduction of various home screen shortcuts for users running Android 7.1 and higher, as well as options to customize a website’s text size. The company says the cookie dialog box blocker will come to the rest of the Opera portfolio soon.
